Alia Shawkat, born April 18th, 1989 in Riverside California (United States) is among the Television's most successful and well-known Actresses. She played Maeby as Maeby in the Fox show Arrested Development, a part which won her a TV Land Future Classic Award. Shawkat was a part of Whip It with Ellen Page. Shawkat was the character Hannah as Hannah in State of Grace from 2001-2004. Also, as Maeby Funke Shawkat was a regular on the cast of Arrested Development for the entire season from 2003 to the year 2018. The role of Shawkat was often highlighted in the show's critiques. Commentator for pop culture Brian M. Palmer remarked that she was among the brightest stars on a show that was populated with bright lights. Scott Weinberg of eFilmCritic described her as an extremely hilarious young woman. In an interview with The A.V. Shawkat told the Club that in 2010, many of Shawkat's early moments as an actress took place in the show Arrested development: Mitch Hurwitz was my father character.
