Charisma Carpenter

KimCharisma Carpenter is an American actresswho is most famous for her portrayal of "Cordelia Chase" in the popular series 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer'. Carpenter also trained as a dancer and was an experienced cheerleader. Carpenter only became an actor by luck. She was discovered by a commercial agent who was waiting tables in Los Angeles, Carpenter quickly rose from being a model for commercials to an integral character in one of the most viewed fiction dramas of the 90s. After a few years of 'Cordelia,' Carpenter made brief appearances on teen series such as 'Miss Match,' 'Charmed,' and the Veronica Mars. The reality show she created called 'Investigation Discovery 'Surviving Evil' (originally titled 'I Survived Evil'), surprised a lot of people. The show featured Carpenter who told her story of horror of being raped by a serial rapist when she was just 21. It revealed a face to Carpenter who many viewers didn't knew about. Carpenter and her family were brutally attacked in 1991 Henry Hubbard Jr. (29-year-old San Diego Police Officer). Hubbard took Carpenter hostage and ordered her to tie her two friends. He resisted Carpenter's gun and demanded she tie up both of her friends. She refused, leaving plenty of time for her friends' to fight Hubbard. Hubbard was also injured in the arm by her friends. Hubbard was arrested afterward. Carpenter was able to save an important item of evidence such as a police-issue flashlight that helped secure the sentence of 56 years in prison for the serial perpetrator of rape.
