Allison Mack
NXIVM (a personal-development firm created by Keith Raniere during the late 90s) gained national attention when the New York Times exposed the pyramid scheme as well as the cult that forced female members into sexual slavery. Since then, Raniere was arrested and was later charged with federal crimes. In July she was convicted of racketeering as well as sex trafficking. Allison Mack, the former Smallville actress, who was detained in April of 2018, was a member or recruit in that time. After her arrest in April, it was reported that Mack was a key member of the sexcult, responsible for branding and recruiting women. In April of 2019, Mack pleaded guilty to charges of racketeering and is now awaiting sentencing. Since then many television shows have provided insight into the NXIVM Cult practices and Mack's involvement. Mack spoke out on her next steps, saying at the time that she was in the process of pursuing several possibilities. "I would love to do additional work in the field of television. I think it's just getting the perfect project" she stated. The most important lesson I've learned was how to trust myself, how to discern my voice, what matters most to me. It was also to discover as well as work with other people who have faith in me.
